Description
The painting “Forest” belongs to a series of abstract works born of a constant desire to explore the essence of being and find peace. We are pleased to offer this series, which has featured in Ana’s work in recent years.
Ana Pavlović Kesar is an applied artist from Belgrade, a member of ULUPUDS and an independent artist. Since the beginning of her practice, she has explored the energy, emotions, personalities and feelings that run through every individual. Through her work, she has generously shared her wealth of observations with art audiences. Her first solo exhibition invited viewers into the peace and beauty of nature through Serbian landscapes painted in oil on canvas. She continued with a series of dreamlike cityscapes inspired by Belgrade and Russia, where she was living at the time. She went on to create portrait series that explore the inner lives of her subjects, approaching portraiture in different ways through several phases, from expressionist treatments with distorted perspectives to a poster-like style with elements of hyperrealism. Throughout her extensive artistic career, she has lived and worked in Russia, Greece and China. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions and held seven solo exhibitions.
